From A Bibliography of Alexandre Dumas père by Frank Wild Reed:
     The third and concluding work of Dumas' trilogy on his early travels in Italy and Sicily. The two preceding ones were "Le Speronare" and "Le Capitaine Aréna." Period 1835-36.
     It first appeared serially in "Le Siècle," June 24, 1842 to January 17, 1843.
     Original edition : Paris, Dolin, 1843, 4 vols., 8vo., yellow wrapper reproducing the title-page within a border.
     It now forms two volumes in the standard Calmann-Lévy edition, and one in their "Musée Littéraire."
     In Le Vasseur's "Alexandre Dumas Illustré" it is to be found in Vol. XXII.
