From A Bibliography of Alexandre Dumas père by Frank Wild Reed: A translation of Bulwer Lytton's novel "Harold; or, the Last of the Saxon Kings." It commenced to appear in Dumas' journal "Le Monte-Cristo," where it ran from the 23rd of April until the 25th of June, 1857, when it abruptly ceased, apparently never to be completed. The break occurs at Book II., Chapter iii.
