"Le Pamphlet" was a comedy in two acts, in prose, performed at the Théâtre Français on the 7th of October, 1857,
M. Glinel's collection included the letter of thanks written by M. Legouvé to Dumas. It was upon black-edged notepaper, and worded as follows :—
"My Dear Dumas, I knocked at your door to thank you for your verses, which were shown to me four days ago, but you were absent hunting. Leaving for the country to-day myself, I do not wish to await your return in order to thank you, and send you by letter my best compliments. I am very proud at having inspired those fine strophes. Wholly yours, LEGOUVÉ."
