    Princesse Flora (texte)

From A Bibliography of Alexandre Dumas père by Frank Wild Reed:
A Russian story, from Marlinsky; one of Dumas' gleanings from his Russian travels. It is more unrestrained than is usual with him, perhaps because he followed his original more closely than when, in dealing with his sources for romance in earlier periods, he allowed himself freedom of selection. Period 1829-31.
First ran through the pages of "Le Monte-Cristo," as "La Frégate l'Espérance," during 1859.
Original edition : Brussels, Méline, Cans et Cie., 1 vol., 32010., 1859.
First French edition : Paris, Michel Lévy Frères, as "La Princesse Flora," 1 vol., 12mo., 1863 (Parran and Thieme), but Mr. Garnett corrects to 1862.
As "La Princess Flora," it is now a volume in the standard Calmann-Lévy series, and in the "Musée Littéraire."
Under this title it is in Le Vasseur's "Alexandre Dumas Illustré," Vol. XX.
