From A Bibliography of Alexandre Dumas père by Frank Wild Reed: A prose drama in five acts and twelve tableaux. Signed by Eugène Grangé and Xavier de Montépin only, but Dumas is known to have shared in the composition. A great spectacular drama, says Glinel.
First performed at the Porte Saint Martin Theatre on the 20th of October, 1849.
