From A Bibliography of Alexandre Dumas père by Frank Wild Reed: Apparently about 1849 and 1850 Dumas was doing a fair amount of work with Grangé and Montépin. M. Simon quotes a letter from Dumas to Maquet (December, 1850) stating that he had a third share in "Les Lansquenets." Probably it was this play by the two authors named above. This was in five acts and ten tableaux.
First performed in 1850.
Original edition : Paris. Marchant, 1850.
