From A Bibliography of Alexandre Dumas père by Frank Wild Reed: On the 1st of May, 1860, appeared the first number of the "Journal du Jeudi:"—''Littérature, Histoire, Voyages.—Éditeur, A. Dugit.—Redacteurs, Alexandre Dumas, Alexandre Dumas fils, Émile Souvestre."
It probably lasted but a brief time, for early this year Dumas set off in his yacht the "Emma." However, the editorial staff would seem to be promising, and it might be of interest to learn something of its fate.
