From A Bibliography of Alexandre Dumas père by Frank Wild Reed: A prose drama in three acts and five tableaux. drawn from Dumas' romance of the same name, but signed only by Eugène Grangé and Xavier de Montépin. Maurel however lists it among Dumas' plays.
First performed at the Théâtre Historique during the month of August, 1850. Also at the Ambigu Comique in the same year, if one follows Vapereau.
