From A Bibliography of Alexandre Dumas père by Frank Wild Reed: This fine journalistic article would seem to have been written by Dumas either in his prime or more probably even later, very likely during his long residence at Naples from 1860 to 1864.
It is now included with the "Aventures du Capitaine Pamphile," in the standard Calmann-Lévy edition.
In Le Vasseur's "Alexandre Dumas Illustré" it forms part of Vol. XXIV., being there included with the "Causeries. "
