From A Bibliography of Alexandre Dumas père by Frank Wild Reed: Also in 1834 there appeared the original edition of Dumas' play "Angèle," which had been performed at the end of the previous year. Among the announcements at the back was one of the "Mémoires d'un Cadet de Famille," 3e. édition, revue et corrigée, avec une préface de M. Alexandre Dumas. Paris, Charpentier. There is, however, every reason to believe that it did not appear at this time. (Refer to page 382.)
