It forms the fifteenth piece (pp. 135 to 138) of the MS. "Préludes Poétiques," given by Dumas to Mme. Mélanie Waldor, from which we know that its date cannot be later than 1830.
Apparently it has only been printed in "Le Livre : Revue Littéraire du Monde," Paris, A. Quantin, the part for October 18th, 1886, pp. 293-94.
