The autograph MS. has appeared on several successive occasions in the auction-rooms.
It was first printed in "La Psyché" for November, 1829. Next it appeared in "Le Keepsake Français" for 1830.
In 1831 it formed one of the pieces in "Les Annales Romantiques," a collection of choice fragments of contemporary literature; Paris, Louis Janet, 18mo. M. Glinel reprints the version from "La Psyché" in his "Alexandre Dumas et Son Œuvre," pp. 247 to 249.
There being numerous variants. Glinel gives in full, in his MS. collection of Dumas' poems dated 1902, the texts of both the "Annales Romantiques" and the "Keepsake Français."
