In "La Psyché" Dumas supplied the following note: "One remembers that H.R.H. Monsieur le Due d'Orléans returned to visit the college of this name, where, during his exile in Switzerland, in 1792, he was accepted as a professor. A fine picture by M. Roumy has preserved the memory, and inspired the verses about to be read."
