From A Bibliography of Alexandre Dumas père by Frank Wild Reed:
A story of contemporary country life. De Cherville seems to have been the collaborator. Mr. R. S. Garnett states: "The concluding chapters are entirely from Dumas' pen. De Cherville not only could never have written, but he could never have imagined them. They exhibit all the strength of Dumas' intense dramatic power." Period 1794-1834.
Original edition: Paris, Michel Lévy Frères. 1 vol., 1860.
It now forms one volume in the standard Calmann-Lévy edition, and one in their "Musée Littéraire."
In Le Vasseur's "Alexandre Dumas Illustré" it is in Vol. XVI.
