From A Bibliography of Alexandre Dumas père by Frank Wild Reed: A vaudeville in three tableaux. Drawn, as regards its central theme only, from one of the adventures of "Sinbad the Sailor." Without being of great importance, it does not lack for wit. Its verse is very indifferent.
First performed at the Porte Saint Martin Théâtre on the 21st of November, 1826.
It was announced as by MM. Davy (Dumas), Lassagne and Gustave (Vulpian).

It is now to be found in the first volume of each of the two Calmann-Lévy editions of the Plays of Dumas.
