From A Bibliography of Alexandre Dumas père by Frank Wild Reed: On the 29th of June of this year died Madame Émile de Girardin (née Delphine Gay). Four days later "Le Mousquetaire" appeared with a black border surrounding the first page, in her memory, and with a necrologic article by Dumas.
This article, with many others and a portrait, was issued as a pamphlet; Paris, Serriers, 18mo., 29th of June, 1856.
