From A Bibliography of Alexandre Dumas père by Frank Wild Reed: A third venture, equally unsuccessful,—this time from deficiency of plot,—and also lost, was "Le Diner des Amis." The subject was borrowed from the "Contes à ma fille" of M. Bouilly.
