Dumas wrote a
Causerie
about him, as well as several books including
Garibaldi et l'Italie and
Les Garibaldiens.
Dumas devoted the journal
L'Indipendente
to Garibaldi's cause, and translated his memoirs in
Mémoires de Garibaldi.
